Some of this is MANDATORY - Some is strongly recommended. . . . Don’t be fooled,
this is a legit winter test of your metal!

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
The race is in Tasmania, in winter. The 106km course climbs to about 900m above sea level, the chance of snow is real, the chance of sleet is real. This is no Sunday morning mid-summer bunchie. Accordingly, come prepared with layers, the descent down the backside of Ralph Falls into the Pyengana will crush your soul if you are underprepared. It is a good idea to fit a small frame bag in order to pack away layers for the climbs, to be re-fitted for the descent.
